About this service
A design system is the foundation that everything else is built on. It is a shared vocabulary for design and development: a set of defined components, tokens, and rules that mean every page and every feature looks and behaves consistently, regardless of who builds it.
The alternative is the way most organizations operate without a design system: each new page is designed slightly differently. Each developer interprets the design slightly differently. Over time, the product accumulates inconsistencies that make it feel unpolished and unprofessional, and fixing them becomes more expensive than building the system would have been.
What a design system includes
The core of any design system is the component library: buttons, inputs, cards, tables, navigation elements, modals, notifications, and all the other repeating interface elements your product uses. We design each component with all its states: default, hover, active, disabled, error. Every component is built as a Figma component with variants so that developers can use the system without guessing.
Token system
Beyond components, we define a token system for color, typography, and spacing. Tokens are named values: not just "blue" but "color-primary-600", "space-4", "text-size-lg". This means that when a color changes or a type scale is updated, the change propagates across the entire system rather than requiring manual updates to every screen.
